How Groups Work

Our in-person groups meet weekly in homes, coffee shops, etc. We read a passage of scripture (e.g. Gen. 2:4-25) and answer 5 simple questions:

  1. What does the passage reveal about God?
  2. What does the passage reveal about people?
  3. What is God speaking to you through the passage? (If you don’t believe in God, no worries, you do not have to answer the question).
  4. What changes can you make in your life in light of what we just read?
  5. Who can you share this with?

We spend time in prayer after we discuss the passage. If you have any personal requests, our groups love to pray with you! If you’re still exploring God and prayer makes you uncomfortable, no problem, you do not have to participate or you can skip out early. We welcome you to do whatever’s most comfortable for you. There’s no judgement here.

Our online groups function almost identically to our in-person groups. The only difference is we meet via the web conferencing platform, Zoom, and you do not need a Zoom account to attend.

As with our in-person groups, we talk about life, read the scriptures (see questions to the left), and pray with one another. Again, if you’re uncomfortable with any part of the meeting, feel free to not participate in that section. These groups are designed to facilitate you exploring God with no pressure or judgement.

Group Chat

Our group chat groups use the GroupMe platform to have an ongoing discussion throughout the week. We ask those on the chat to read a passage of scripture and answer the 5 questions listed in the in-person groups section to the left.

Instead of meeting weekly, we ask one question a day, 5 days a week and discuss our thoughts. If you’re uncertain, feel free to join the group and just watch though we love when you participate 🙂
